About Gurinder

Gurinder has been hailed as a successful entrepreneur, philanthropist, and a vocal leader at the local, state and national level. Along with this, Gurinder continues to give back to the community by serving as a board member or director of numerous organizations and institutions. 

Gurinder Singh holds a bachelor’s degree in both Economics and Geography from the University of Punjab, India, and he also participated in the Master’s program for Science in Geography. Gurinder also holds a Certification in Marketing & Business Finance from the University of California – Berkeley. 

Gurinder Singh is multilingual and is a regular speaker at national conferences. Gurinder’s key priorities are discussing and working on relevant political matters, multi-faith relations, and financial success for all. He has appeared before the United States Conference of Mayors, the United States Senate, and has presented lectures at numerous colleges and universities on geopolitics, inclusion, religious diversity and freedom of faith. He has recently conferred the Rosa Parks Trailblazer award for his actions in 2007 that resulted in the TSA Headgear Policy being changed to accommodate those with turbans and reinforce our American right to freedom of religion. 

Gurinder Singh is currently serving as President of the Building Corporation of the City of Fishers. He also serves as a member of various community boards and organizations, including the Redevelopment Commission of Fishers, One Zone Chamber of Commerce, the American Society of Civil Engineers, Co-Chair of the Volunteers Committee for Spark! Fishers, as well as various projects for the youth of our community, including Our Kids,  Deserve It and the Youth Mentoring Initiative. He is also co-founder of Fishers Multi-Faith Community for Compassion. 

Gurinder is also involved in the local Republican party as a member of the Chairman’s Club as well as having been a delegate to the state convention. He currently serves as a precinct committeeman in Fall Creek Township.

Gurinder looks forward to the opportunity to run for City Council as another way to give back to the community his family has called home.
